San Antonio de Areco
- A Day in the Argentine Pampas -
You will visit the old land of the gauchos in the ancient
frontier with the Indian tribes: the area of San Antonio de
Areco.
San Antornio de Areco is a tiny colonial town that has beautiful
architecture from the early 20th century, when Argentina was
having an economic boom. It is located almost two hours from
Buenos Aires.
You will visit some of the well known artisans (leather,
silver, textiles) of San Antonio de Areco, who show us their
workshops and how they produce.Another option is a visit to
the Gaucho museum, that holds and interesting collection related
to the Pampas' history.
Then you will enjoy a traditional lunch at one of the exclusives
estancias of the area. You will spend the rest of the day
there, walking in the beautiful gardens, riding horses, looking
the rural activities or bird watching. In the summertime there's
also a swimming-pool to ejoy some swimming.
Before going back to Buenos Aires you will have tea or
coffee or the traditional mate with homemade cakes and typical
Argentine bakery.
Since you will do this tour with your own private vehicle
and guide, you will have the freedom of enjoying each attraction
at our own pace, making all the stops you want, and enjoying
a personal assistance and care of our specialized guide.
